Who are we?
Hi! We’re the Millers. A family that is passionate about travel, culture, food, and language. I have always loved travel and have had a fascination with other languages and cultures since I was young. In 2015, I took my wife and son on their first big international trip and they caught the travel bug. Since then, we have visited over 20 countries across four continents.
Unlike many other travel bloggers, we are not on the road full-time. We have a normal life here in Southern California. My wife and I are both working professionals. Our lives are busy with work, soccer practices, and school events. However, we feel that it is very important for our kids to see the world. Of course, there is no better way to experience another culture than to immerse yourself in the language, food, traditions, and customs of the place you are visiting.
We are often asked how we find the time or can afford to travel as much as we do. We’ve had the opportunity to inspire our friends and family to travel more, helped them plan trips, and find cheap flights. Now, our goal is to share our adventures, experiences, tips, and travel advice with you.
“The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page.”
Where have we been?
In total, we have visited 26 countries (plus two overseas territories). I have to admit, that the map below is a little underwhelming. Mostly because half of the countries that we have visited such as Singapore and Barbados are small and are very hard to see on the map. I think we need to make a point to visit some larger countries :).
What’s the goal?
If you asked me what countries are on my wish list, my simple answer would be ALL OF THEM. Of course, that’s a bit of an absurd answer (…or is it?).
For now, the goal is to reach a total of 40 countries and all seven continents (yes… even Antarctica) before my 40th birthday in the summer of 2025.
